With the exception of dental emergencies, patients seeking complete dental care should firstly undergo an examination.

Prior to your examination, you will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire.

The first step at this appointment will be to discuss any concerns and your treatment desires.

Following this, a comprehensive examination of your mouth will be undertaken.

A separate appointment will be made for Oral Hygiene with

Grace Smith ( Hygienist )

This involves:

  1. -Soft tissue assessment and oral cancer screening

  2. -Periodontal assessment (health of the gums)

  3. -Temporo-mandibular jaw joint assessment

  4. -Complete dental assessment and charting

  5. -small digital x-ray films to detect small early cavities

  6. -Photographic records ( if required)

  7. -study models (if required)

Dr Paneras will discuss the assessment with you and outline a preventive regime to maximise oral health into the future.

We will discuss various treatment options available , and give you a good understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of the different treatment options.

With your help,we will tailor a treatment plan for you to suit your individual needs.

A summary of the treatment required will be available , which will include costs and health fund item numbers, to enable you to calculate any out of pocket expenses. You will then be able to determine in your own time, whether you wish to proceed with any treatment that has been recommended for you. There is no obligation for you to proceed.

Eftpos and Hicaps is available for instant claiming from your health fund on the day.
